Grove Gardens Chapel

Grove Gardens Chapel is a beautifully restored Chapel dating from 1873. Set in tranquil grounds only minutes from the centre of Richmond, it is an ideal venue for a variety of social and community events.

The chapel provides the perfect setting for a wedding, a christening, or a family party. The acoustics are excellent for dramatic or musical events and meetings. As well as being a venue for one-off events, the chapel is ideal for regular bookings for toddler groups, youth work, exercise classes and educational purposes.

Facilities

The building seats 60 people comfortably or has the capacity for 100 guests standing.

Alongside the many original features that have been restored are a small but fully fitted kitchen (including a microwave) and under-floor heating.

The Chapel is equipped with a sound system, slide projection facilities and comfortable chairs and tables.

The building is fully accessible for people with disabilities.

There is external floodlighting and a well-lit access path for evening use.

Lower Grove Road provides ample parking, and the 371 bus from Richmond station stops close by in Queens Road.

Rates

The Chapel is available for hire every day from 9 am to 10 pm. Different rates apply on Friday evenings and Saturdays.

Sunday to Thursday: first hour£30
Each subsequent hour£10
Friday and Saturday evenings (6 to 10 pm)£150
Saturday all-day booking (9 am to 10 pm)£200
Use of music or presentation system£50

Discounts are available for non-profit groups and multiple bookings.

A deposit of £250 is also required – this must be provided as a separate cheque, which will not be cashed as long as the Chapel is left in good condition after the event.
