PRACTICAL VOLUNTEERINGIf you like to spend time out of doors and would like to develop your gardening and conservation skills, we currently run regular practical work mornings at various sites around the borough:

| Saturday 24th April | Orleans House Gardens, Twickenham | This fine natural garden needs regular maintenance and we will be helping the small group of volunteer gardeners there to lay woodchips and undertake other tasks for which a larger group is needed. | Everyone is welcome at these events, although children under 17 years old must be accompanied by a responsible adult. It helps us to plan things if you can let the office know at least 3 days beforehand if you intend coming. Please try to arrive promptly at the start for the initial briefing and stay as long as you wish. All you need is a pair of tough boots or shoes, some old clothes and a robust sense of humour!
