RHS Early Spring Plant Fair

Topic: Jam Project

Formerly the RHS London Plant and Potato Fair, the Early Spring Plant Fair welcomed in the new growing season at the Lindley Hall in London. Just as the RHS have chosen, for this event, to give potatoes equal billing with other plants, so the volunteers at the Model Market Garden are taking a similar direction. The "Dig for Victory" bed previously dedicated to varieties such as Home Guard potatoes will soon be growing flowers to grace the tables of generous (yes, we hope so...) visitors to the garden. We will not achieve the scale of Hampton Nurserylands but the spirit will be there.

Lindley Hall

Lungwort,
traditionally used
to treat bronchial
conditions.

Related to borage and
forget-me-not.

And of course
we are still
drawn to the
seed potatoes
