Art Auction 2013 - Sarah Kensington |

Dans le Foret Morzine
(Limited edition giclee print, 49cm x 40cm, 19.5" x 16")
Sarah Kensington Except for a brief period spent in the French Alps, Sarah Kensington has lived near the river around Richmond ever since leaving Harrow School of Art where she trained as an illustrator. Her career has spanned 40 years working for design groups, editorials and most of the major publishers. Her work has been widely reproduced in educational and children’s books. Whilst in the Alps she made a series of drawings of local buildings and farms. Drawing in charcoal is an attempt to avoid the “chocolate box” image which seems inevitable when working in such a beautiful environment. In addition to working on private commissions she is currently teaching painting and drawing at Kingston Adult College and has a series of classes 'Just Drawing' at St John’s community hall, Isleworth.
